I'm currently working on this Xmass build and need your opinions. For the hande bar grips I have two options. The grey and black one is 1.5 inches longer, therefore bringing in the controls accordingly. The gripshifts are staying
Yellow or Green for the cables? I only have a black water bottle cage to go with the green.
My original plan was to just add more
green but after looking at it and what's
available, maybe the extra splash of new color might be more "wow" of a gift.
The receiver of bike has no idea.

I vote green. And the grips that are already on
I would keep the shorter grips (or get different shorter ones) with grip shift.
If you want to do the cables match the decal, or the major color on the decal. If you match the minor color it will look too random.
The impression of a simple color scheme, with accents, looks best.
