  1. I purchased the Yakima Fullback 2 for a 2017 Honda Civic, to transport my nice new Co-op DRT 1.3 which I’m so far happy with as an MTB noob.

Turns out, I had to get the adaptor bar so my bike could hang correctly according to the rack’s instruction manual. However, I don’t love that I have to extend the dropper post to get the adaptor bar to fit. I am wondering if my bike hanging like this is putting unwanted strain on either the saddle or post, or even the handlebars. This is the only issue making me wary of going too far from home and finding something’s broken or bent.

Stock handlebars and saddle. Pretty sure the dropper post is a TranzX Kitsuma.

Should I consider a roof rack or a hitch setup? Do y’all like them better than trunk racks? Or if there is a better trunk rack for my car/bike combo I am open to recommendations. Thanks!

  2. You’re gonna drag that front wheel on the first incline/decline. Hanging racks are generally bad idea all over
