Two men have been sentenced to a combined total of 24-and-a-half years for their roles in smuggling £4 million worth of cocaine into the UK.

Richard David Farmer, 39, was arrested after collecting a suitcase containing 50kg of Class A drugs from a plane that landed at Deenethorpe Airfield, Northamptonshire.

When Farmer left the airfield, his car was stopped by Northamptonshire Police officers who found the drugs hidden inside. Farmer was arrested at gunpoint by officers and investigations linked him to co-conspirator Blaine Harvey, 39.

The pair were working together to distribute the drugs across the country. Both men denied the charges, but were convicted and sentenced at Northampton Crown Court on 18 July 2025. This operation, carried out by the National Crime Agency and partners, has successfully disrupted an organised crime group responsible for bringing dangerous drugs into the UK.

  1. Thats nothing… People shouldnt be getting these big priaon sentences and coke should be legalised and taxed so the country benefits. At the moment our government doesnt do this because they are crooked.

  2. Thats the sentence you get for not paying taxes to the crown.
But take a life and you some how get a lesser sentence.
It goes to show the system cares more about its money than it does its people!
God save the people, from the 👑
