Today I’m taking you on a bike ride through
Strasbourg, right in the heart of autumn, a season when the city is covered in red, orange,
and gold, and every street becomes a postcard. We’re starting our ride here at Place de l’étoile
before exploring some of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. So sit back and enjoy
the ride. First stop, Park Du Heyritz. One of the best places to feel autumn in Strasbourg.
The paths are covered in yellow leaves, reflections shimmer on the water, and cyclists
meet joggers in a calm, peaceful atmosphere. A true little natural reset right in the city.
Next, we ride along the old city walls behind the train station. This path passes between community
gardens and stone walls, a hidden gem many locals don’t even know about. In autumn, the colors
explode and the ride feels almost meditative. Then we head to Place de Haguenau and
continue straight to Place de Bordeaux under the big plain trees. Here the
leaves fall like a slow rain and the golden light crosses the boulevard. A wide,
smooth, and pleasant stretch for cycling. Our ride continues around the Wacken District
between modern buildings, wide avenues, and quiet riverside paths. A striking contrast between
contemporary architecture and autumn nature. Next, we arrive at one of Strasburg’s symbols, the European Parliament. With its circular
architecture and surrounding trees, it’s an amazing spot in autumn. The
reflections in the water, the low sunlight, a classic for photographers. We then descend to
the Keys, heading towards Park Dearie. In autumn, it’s probably one of the city’s most
beautiful spots. The tall trees turn red and gold. The paths are covered in leaves
and everyone slows down. A must-see stop. Leaving the park, we follow Quai de General
Conrad. We pass by the Orthodox Church, a little architectural gem surrounded by red
foliage. A peaceful area perfect for a calm ride. Next, we continue along quai des Alpes, one
of my favorite stretches. The houseboats, reflections on the water, trees leaning over
the canal. In autumn, it’s simply magical. We leave Strasburg for a few minutes, crossing
the Pont de l’Europe, linking France and Germany. We ride through the port dur and arrive in
the small town of Kell. Calm and welcoming, a perfect transition in this autumn ride. We returned to Strasburg via the Passerelle des
deux rives, one of the best viewpoints over the Rhin. Here autumn mixes reds, oranges, and
the blue sky. The panorama is spectacular. Then we descend towards the K Citadel, crossing
the new Danube and Riv’étoile districts, a modern, clean area with strong architectural lines that
contrast beautifully with the colorful trees. Strasburg mixes tradition and modernity, and
it’s clear here. We pass Place d’Austerlitz, then take the new bike ring, a cycling loop
that goes around the historic center. Riding here along the water, surrounded by old façades
and flaming autumn trees, it’s pure pleasure. And finally, we arrive in La Petite, France,
Strasbourg’s most iconic neighborhood. The half-timbered houses, the bridges, the colorful
trees. In autumn, it’s truly cinematic. From here, I recommend parking your bike and continuing
the journey on foot to explore Strasburg’s historic city center. You can discover my
