    Looks like you just raised the top part of the telescopic post – so the rest is still locked in the folded position

    Lift the back of the bike briskly by the saddle or seat tube. The rear wheel will swing down and backwards like a pendulum. As it reaches full extension, lower the rear of the bike back to the ground to lock the wheel in place.

    Do it swiftly. This operation takes about half a second.

    If the wheel swings down, but not backwards, you didn’t lift briskly enough to get sufficient momentum, so just push the wheel backwards with the side of your foot, then push down to lock.
