    ABOUT THE ARTIST: KIASMOS

    Kiasmos was started in 2009 by Icelandic BAFTA-winning composer Ólafur Arnalds, known for his unique blend of minimal piano and string compositions with electronic sounds, and Janus Rasmussen from the Faroe Islands, known as the mastermind of the electro-pop outfit Bloodgroup. After a critically acclaimed self-titled debut in 2014, which re-envisioned minimal techno with orchestral flourishes and weightless production, their long-awaited second opus “II” released on July 5.

    ABOUT THE LOCATION: CITADELLE DE SISTERON

    The Citadelle de Sisteron is 800 years of history and architecture: a 14th-century fortification overlooking the French city of Sisteron, caught between the majestic Alps, the emerald Durance river, and the balmy region of Provence.

      Listened last night at Sydney opera house and I thought they’re just lacing sounds beautifully into one another to create a tapestry of sound. To read the track list – lace, spun, burst, thrown. Exactly what they do with sound. Genius ❤

      I listen to this everyday, I went to Kiasmos' performance in Sydney Opera House last Sat, and I was lucky to find spot in 4th raw, and watching them perform so close was so surreal, and I'm so grateful to have done so, I felt a like brotherly connection to both of them. Infinitely grateful to exist in this moment in Cosmos.

      Dead man walking. Somehow i still havent ended it all, my family is there for me. The shock is slowly subsiding, thanks Kiasmos and Cercle for pulling me out of the mental paralysis, tomorrow the sun will rise again.
