So I got this to maintain 70 psi overnight with sealant and no tube after patching it internally. As you can see, the pressure is opening up the cut. My question: is it reasonable to expect it operate tubelessly with this sort of damage or should I just give up and run it with a tube? Tyre only has a few hundred miles. TIA!

You could try filling that hole with vulcanizing rubber cement, but I would order the replacement tire now.
How did you patch it internally? Personally I’ve repaired numerous tubeless tires with vulcanizing cement and rubber patches, either bicycle or the radial car tire variety, and it has almost always held.
I’d probably want this to be a rear, not a front tire, but otherwise I’d run it.
