I’m trying to disassemble these cogs and they are not budging. Just want to confirm that the proper way to do this is how have it and the small cog should be rotated counter clockwise.
Any other tips would be greatly appreciated!

That’s a freehub not a cassette. check you have a freehub removal tool, clamp it in a vice, use the whole wheel as leverage to remove freehub.

How to [service](https://youtu.be/T_vRbBRPr3c?si=20vj4Nm2xnmt_Q1l) a freewheel. You can clean the cogs with hot soapy water, a brush and a rag, flossing between the gears.
The only mainstream freewheels I can think of that came apart like that were Shimano uniglides.
Shimano TL-FW30 fits the ID splines (blue) to install/remove the freewheel from the wheel. You need a spanner to remove the outer seal (red) to disassemble.

You need this tool or one just like it and a bench vice/adjustable wrench to uncrew it like you would a disc rotor.
