So, um, uh, I moved to Germany in October. Brighteyed, hopeful, ready to start a new life. Only one tiny problem, no place to live. Fun times. You’d think student dorms would be for, you know, students, but nope. They’re all full and the waiting time just a casual 2 years. Turns out once you get into a dorm in Damt, you never leave. Why would you? It’s a steal at β¬380 to β¬450. It’s basically luxury on a budget. And the alternatives, oh, they’re amazing. Private rooms start at β¬500. And if you’re feeling rich, go for Yugo Elementum at β¬800 because clearly every student has a money tree in their backyard. And the cherry on top, most of these places are miles away from the uni. So now you’re broke and commuting. Welcome to Damt, where finding a house is your first semester exam. Good luck.
