Removed my BB from this bike, a few days later I’ve tried to put it back in and now it only screws in a few turns then stops
Is it because the threads are ruined ? If so, how?

They look chewed up, a bike shop could chase them and that may solve your problem. Worst case, if it doesn’t velo orange makes a repair BB for stripped bottom bracket shells.
