hey yall i got this schwinn bike a while ago for a fixed gear conversion and i always wondered what this sticker was. it says something about police and Oregon as you can see but that’s all I know. thanks!

It is a bicycle license from the city of Corvallis
Probably something to prevent bike theft.
We had those in my town (in upstate NY) in the 70’s. You registered your bike with the police dept, including the serial number, and the thinking was that it might help with recovery if it were stolen.
