Lots of trial and error, but here’s where I landed:
2 x topeak versa-mounts (or something to create bottle boss mounts where you want to put your lock).
2 x Problem Solvers Bowtie Mounts (keeps lock more stable while putting on by giving a flat platform and a place to keep your voile straps).
2 x voile straps – can literally lift up the whole bike by the lock with just these two straps connected to the lock (You really only need this, but the additional hardware above makes it a bit quicker to take on and off.
1 x Inner Tube and some electrical tape – in lieu of the chunky rubber padding so you have a bit more clearance to wrap your tire/frame against a bike rack or pole.
Tried the Huldit and it would hit my knees when going out of the saddle. Tried it on a back rack and handlebars but threw the weight off too much. Took a look at the hiplock pouch but didn’t seem any better than the Huldit for bike mounting.
As far as positioning on bike, I first had it all the way by the bottom bracket within the main triangle for the most stability, but I find it to add too much resistance when starting from stops or going uphill. Middle of frame with the locking part pointed up keeps handling very good still without making it more difficult to accelerate.
Make sure one voile strap is grabbing the top lock part so you don’t hear rattle while biking.
Hope others find this helpful!

Turn your speakers up loud and watch this lock destroy an angle grinder.

I bought a D1000. It is bulky and heavy as hell. I have an old kryptonite mini that I use for most of my errands (parked outside grocery stores or my gym), but pull out the D1000 when I’m going downtown or will be locking in more sketchy areas. I’m kinda wishing I had purchased the Litelok x3 instead, but I don’t think it was out yet.
Edit: Nevermind, the Litelok x3 is even more bulky and heavier.
I know nothing about locks but am freaking out a bit that your albums are sagging like that.
