  1. Any bigger than that and you’re gonna get hurt man! If that weren’t a step down you might have had a bad time anyway.

    You are basically bunny hopping off the takeoff a full bike length before you need to. Then you’re hanging off the back like you’re taking a dump.

    Seriously, go back to basics on a smaller jump. Learn to bump jump to get your timing right – you should be jumping off the lip not before.

    Body position – you are too far back at the point you take off. It looks like you pump hard to compress suspension then go straight into a hop. You need to compress earlier and slower than as you go up the takeoff press through your legs. See the position of the second rider, they remain fairly central on the bike which is absolutely correct for a mellow lip like this.

    Please spend some time getting the foundations right before trying too many more big hits.
