  1. You broke a spoke. It’s relatively easy to repair if you know what you’re doing and have the right tools, but based on this question, I’m going to assume you do not (no offense intended). Take it to a bike shop and they can fix it for you. 

    If you want to do it yourself, start by googling “spoke replacement” and shopping for specialized bike tools.

    You would need to

    Remove the broken spoke

    Determine the correct length and gauge spoke

    If the broken spoke is behind the cassette, remove the cassette and spoke protector using a chain whip and a cassette removal too,

    Replace the spoke (there is a specific lacing pattern, ie over, under the other spokes)

    Tighten the spoke with a spoke wrench to the correct tension and true the wheel.

    A bike shop might charge $40 to do this for you.
