I just purchased a set of Elitewheels SLR Gravel for under US $400 for my wife’s Trek Checkpoint Gen2 and am very impressed with the specs and quality. I was a brand snob (US made Zipp, EU made Mavic) and dismissed these direct to consumer Chinese wheel brands until I learned that Elitewheels are produced in the same facility as nearly every wheel brand not made in the US and Europe.
How does the wheel feel in comparison? Is the upgrade worth, neglecting the looks.
Aaaaah different bottle cages!! Since you go with our friends of PRC, you should also buy new discs and tilt your saddle a little bit downward. But nevertheless, super cool looking bike. Source: I have the same bike, just in a big boy size.
