Goof Off. Seriously will remove about any sort of residue. Mineral spirits is another good solvent, but it might make the clear coat hazy in that area.

Nonpolar solvent for gooey stuff. Xylene, d-limonene, mineral spirits, etc, add an old credit card for a scraper. Test an inconspicuous spot on your paint first.

Warm fresh duct tape. Can preheat and heat while on the frame with blow dryer or heat gun. Not too hot. Peels the leftover adhesive away clean.

  4. I’ve had weirdly good experiences using vegetable oil. Gotta let it soak a bit but it works

Vaseline will work if your lazy like me and just put it on and rub it off a few days or whatever later. A micro fiber cloth and furniture polish does a surprisingly good job at taking it right from taped up dirty meth bike to something you might handle without gloves in a shorter time.

I bought a 1L jug of acetone for this and similar residues. I think it’s basically the same thing as nail varnish remover but I haven’t had any issues with painted frames.

  7. Try to heat it up first. Very hot, over 100*C Celsius. Than try to scrap it with some plastic card.
