Just wondering what’s going on here, Specialized Vado sl 2022. It’s cold ish here currently, 5-6°C

Finish A to B with 68% battery, turn it off asap and leave for 3hrs, restart B to A from 63%. 5% batt evaporated with the bike off in just a few hours.

Not the end of the world and I can live with it, just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar with Specialized or any other e-bike. Is the bike consuming some power when off at the end of the ride to do some battery management stuff or is it just a calibration thing?

  1. Voltage drops with reduced temperature and it’s the indication of state of charge. You may recoup some of it back while riding and warming your battery, but batteries have a lower capacity in the winter.
