It can happen. Try to free up as much chain as you can by getting it onto the smallest sprocket at the back.
Then it’s just wrestling it out using the least force to avoid damage to the derailleur. Is there any more adjustment left on the front mech? Can you create a bit more space?
Put the chain back on the chainring and pedal backwards until the chain feeds though the front mech and the chain is completely on the chain ring
