3 miles at a modest 10 mph via bike would take 18 minutes, less than half the time OP is spending stuck in a barely moving car in construction traffic.

For 4 years I had commuted with bike. Until company warehouse moved 30 km further. Now I’m thinkimg of ending my rent and moving closer so I can ride a bike again

Packed a rain jacket today and gleefully enjoyed riding through (warm, summer) rain puddles today while the traffic was at a total standstill. Would rather get wet than sit in traffic

This shouldn’t be on bike-commuting as a satire but rather on walk-commuting. I mean 3 miles. You can walk this distance backwards and be home in 20min.
