This diamondback viper has been sitting for over a decade. My daughter really wants to ride it and is showing strong interest in customizing it. It needs new brakes and she wants yellow/gold for the lever. I found these (pictured). I was hoping to find something cheaper, but will these work? Recommendations and help are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yup they’ll work. Pro-max is decent race bmx brand, so it’s priced accordingly. Having said that pricing has increased on all parts notably post Covid, so a branded brake kit is generally this kinda money anyway.
It doesn’t need new brakes. Spin the handlebars clockwise 360 degrees and see how far just that gets you
