  1. Most important thing is size. If it fits you right you will ride it much more. The price is fair but high. If it’s not a friend I would offer $250.

it’s a pretty good value 1) if it fits you, and 2) if you are looking for a road bike like this

  3. Diamondback is a decent brand. Check their website to see their sizing with regard to height but it looks like it will fit, especially if you are looking for an aero position which most road bikers are looking for.

If that’s a trainer I see in the background, then it sweetens the deal. It looks ready to ride and has good tires, although some people don’t like the Continental Gatorskins (while others swear by them!) It looks ready to ride. Get yourself a new helmet that fits you and a saddle/seat that fits you.

Learn how to clip into the bike. It seems like the owner is selling the bike with the ‘clipless’ pedals.

Welcome to the money pit that is road cycling! $300 is just a drop in the ocean. Check out how much people are shelling for bibs and jerseys nowadays!

Be weary of the helmet that you don’t know the history of. Check it over well. Often they have the manufacturers date inside. Make sure it isn’t too old either. An old helmet is a dangerous helmet. 3-5 years old is the recommended life span. Sweat and uv light will degrade the helmet and make it not work properly in an accident.

As far as the rest. I agree that it’s a fair price. Nothing here is much above entry level, but this all should function well if maintained. As others stated, I would haggle if it isn’t from a friend. Don’t ruin any friendships.

At 6’ you are likely between the 56 & 58. I would more likely recommend the smaller of the two, if you’re decently flexible. You might need a longer stem, but maybe not, depending on your inseam vs torso length.
