I run my Winspace G2 Gravel bike with the small front bags from Decathlon. Now one of the threads bondings into the fork loosened. I wrote Winspace support and they said each screw can handle only 500g.
As they advertise it with actual panniers on the front on the website, I'm surely not the only one running it this way. So you better check those screws 🙂

How heavy were those bags though?
Lots of fork racks can only handle about 3-8lbs, I know my forks are steel and are only rated for 7. Carbon is likely lower. 500g per boss wouldn’t be unusual. On 3 you could still carry a tent.
