here are three different ways you can hit these drops so the first method hitting it quite slowly and controlled it does work problem is when you got bigger stuff like this you just find that the bike’s going to like jump around and you haven’t got that momentum to carry you through second method is the manual it can be great on some bigger stuff but here it’s just very tight and narrow doing a manual just means you’re then having to slam on the brakes and lose all your speed and the third and final method is what I would go for it’s the push through technique you can just keep your speed but push the bike down and just then carry on the trail and it all stays nice and smooth and for more techniques follow for more

Nice bike dude!
I am a new rider (well new about half a year now riding) and this was something i struggled with thanks i'll definitely try these methods
I like to do the manual most, its just fun
Why not just hop it?
Hey man this is very helpful to me as a beginner, i have only gone out twice and pretty scared with the rocky parts, basically I am doing the first one you mentioned hoping to be a creator at your level someday so I can pass the knowledge on.
Knee pads on the outside of trousers?
The modern mtb with its super slack geo. makes the push through technique super easy. Push the bike in front of you and let it do the work. Wasn't an option in the old skool days, you had to manual or slow drop.
It's not a drop if you can ride over it without going OTB.
for me its usually the manual but sometimes I bunny hop it for fun
Good advice. They're in order of good, better, best!
Was that a pivot phoenix
I just bunny hop it with speed
big drop? where
thats not a drop, thats a step. why is this important? a step you can just ride out, or: pull up on the front wheel, and let if fall down accordingly. on an actual drop the crucial thing is to NOT have any forward momentum when going of the lip, as this will make your front wheel fall, eventually too far. you need to jump/roll off in a way that ensures your bike won't continuously rotate forward, making sure you land safely on both tires – even if the drop is a little higher.
where is the drop ? that's a step, anyways great advices
As a beginner mountain biker I would just jump it and hope for the best on a rock garden on a hard tail
Guys I messed up help me how to rebuild a bicycle
Never the manual
It's not a drop, it's a step down
There is drop?
The 3rd method just seems like a faster version of the first. Much easier doing the 3rd approach imo
They look the same 😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah… that's just not a drop at all.
W
The push through is just a manual but lazy
I wanna start mtb but idk what bike to get. I need help please 🙏 im also kinda scared to fall. Won’t it hurt a lot? (sorry if I sound kinda babyish)
This is not a drop it’s just mild terrain I had to do a series of like 10 of them on a hardtail I just rode down them
I think it depends on the speed and the slope just before the drop too. If it is flat and I’m going very fast then I don’t have to do anything, the bike just flies thru the drop. If it is downhill before the drop and at slow speed I feel it safer to do the push through. I use the push thru most of the time at slow speed regardless slope or not.
