I’m currently running Shimano GRX 1×11, with a 10-42t cassette, an RX812 derailleur, and RX600 levers. I’m wondering how I can get more gear range without having to spend too much or change my entire drivetrain. My thoughts were on finding a different 11s derailleur that can accommodate a bigger max cassette cog, not sure what if any options I have there. Thanks for the help!

A 2 x 11, a freewheel with bigger sprocket if your derailleur can handle it, or a bigger front chainring.
Smaller Chainring. You’ll loose a little top end but gain more low end. Look up a gear inch chart to get an idea of the change.
Smaller chainring is the only option I can think of that wouldn’t force you to change most of the drivetrain
If you swap the cage for an RD-M8000 cage, you can clear a 51 tooth sprocket, from the CS-M5100 cassette.
Edit:
11 speed, HG freehub body can only fit an 11 tooth sprocket (with a normal Shimano cassette). Are you certain you have a 10 tooth top gear?
e13 makes a 9-46
that’s a ginormous chainring tho. do you really need that thing?
Replace the cage on your mech to allow a larger cassette.

This is the reason I specifically chose 2x grx. Sometimes I need to go up more.
Easy, buy another bike!
