my parts bin bike – 2000 atlantis

i was in an extraordinary position to get ahold of this bike (someone has given it to me on a long-term loan with no return date)

since i don't have a lotta extra $$ to spend on more than one bike, i got a lotta the parts from the parts bin, trades, or on loan to get this rolling

it's #148 from (probably) the first run of atlantises released in 2000

this was always the dream bike for me since first seeing one in 2008 on the street in sf

now, after getting ahold of it, i'm still more enamored with contemporary rivs and always reach for my mit atlantis over this one

still rips on trails tho!!
