Looking for some advice on how to solve this problem.
My customer ordered a custom frame, which took 4 months to arrive. Upon arrival, I discovered that they placed the front derailleur cable exit below the derailleur, requiring a bottom pull version. Problem is, modern MTB groupsets don't have that option. This bike will have 2×12 Shimano XT mechanical. Is there any workaround? I really don't want to use any adaptors or some kind of bodge job. Will an SLX 11 spd bottom pull work? Any other compatible road or gravel derailleurs out there?

Pretty easy to fudge it with 2x front derailleurs, so yeah, the SLX 11 should work fine. Almost any MTB 2x would work, I imagine.
Unfortunately that’s a crime. Why shimano why?
That cable outlet looks like it is for the dropper instead?
Why not use a normal 12x front derailleur that has pull down? It nood need the newest
It appears to me as though they intended it to be run with di2. That hole would be in the perfect spot then.
