I got a Van Rysel RCR-F in a size L gifted to me. I’m curious if it’s the right size (size L on my head), or if i should go down to a M.
I feel like the helmet itself is a good size. My finger is just too thick to fit in between the helmet and the side of my head for example. The helmet feels solid and steady on my head. So the actual shell of the helmet fit’s fine.
The thing that throws me off, is that size L equals 59-62 and my head measures 55cm, which would make me a size M by decathlon’s measuring table.
The second thing is that it’s the first time using this particular design on how the little straps come together under the ear. Here it’s a wide design, while previously it was a more slim design, like a y (it’s difficult to explain, sorry) and i feel like that part where the straps come together, is quiet far under my ear. I don’t see a way to adjust the straps so it sits closer under my ear.
What do you guys think? Does it look fine, or should i go a size smaller?

Looks money to me
I have the same helmet at the same size. Watching your two pics, the fit looks very similar on me if not identical.
I tried the size M before buying the L : it was definitely too small. No debate.
Hope that helps.
Looks full bro.
I am returning my L for an M tomorrow. I felt the ear straps to be too low on the L.
It looks good size to me … for the side straps, can you not adjust through the plastic piece where the two connect to the chin strap? It seems similar to my POC and I’ve been able to adjust mine. Off topic – sunglasses look good … how do you like them?
That helmet can look big from certain angles but it’s actually no more mushroomy than my other helmet. Looks good
Looks mushroomy.
