Hi mtb’ers, i recently got myself a mtb with a pair of Schwalbe Racing Ray Super Race tires.
However, i have noticed that on one side of the tire, the color for the transparent part is quite off in comparison to the other schwalbe tires i have seen/used (near the rim it is the normal color, and on the other side it is also the normal color)
My current theory is discoloration because of sunlight, since this bike was most likely a showroom model.
So my question is: what might have caused this, and is this a problem?

It’s really hard to tell from the pictures if the color is actually off.
My opinion : sun damage (which tan sidewalls are more subject to than carbon black ones) will manifest through cracks in the rubber. Barring that, there’s not much to check IMO.
Very interesting
Looks like my Rick’s that I bought a few months ago.
Tan-wall is life.
