Idk anything about a crank arm into a bottom bracket when it leaves it production facility, but I think there can be a misconception blaming a company for producing bad cranks and bottom bracket. Companies want to guarantee their cranks to last lifelong when you match with their bottom bracket because they have adapted to an engineering standard on a square taper profile design (ex: JIS and ISO) and mismatching doesn’t mean it’s not perfect although you’d can’t just install them without knowing the recommened torque specification which is 30 lbs. One time on my Instagram, some dude on my explore page shared a post about his crankset lasting more than 10 years on a pair of Sugino75’s.
