I have tried setting up my Fulcrum Racing 900 DB wheel tubeless.
To begin with, I taped, and mounted the tire and pumped it up – without sealant.
Air is coming out of this small gap. How should I deal with that? It doesn’t seem like a defective or broken rim.

Wow
Tape it again. The tape is wider than the inner width right?
Why aren’t you using sealant?
Could be that the rim tape isn’t covering this area thoroughly. I’d just ignore it if there aren’t any obvious gaps between the rim and the tape. It’s highly likely that the sealant will seal that gap.
When I install a new tire and add sealant, I pump it up to 45 lbs or so and hold wheel at 9 and 3 and shake it up and down while rotating wheel to distribute sealant throughout inside of tire.
