Got a new Otso Arctodus Ti this year to replace my stolen ICT. Before winter when I rode it I guess never used the lowest gear. Now going through deep snow, I’m using it and noting chain rub of the lower chain in the lowest gear. The derailleur tuning and limit screw are right on and all the shifting is great, so wondered why the stock tires would rub.

I decided on recommendation of the LBS to try the full forward position of the Otso tuning chip, and it just clears the tire now.

I’m hoping it won’t feel twitchy in this position, but I can’t imaging a 4.8” tire fat bike feeling twitchy… I guess I’ll find out tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone else noticed big handling differences in the 2 cm change in wheelbase that the tuning chip does?

Going to a shorter wheelbase to avoid chain rub

I would just re-dish the wheel a little provided you have the room within the frame to do so. The handling stays the same and it doesn’t require any additional parts to be purchased.
