  1. Yes. It has standard thru axles, brake mounts and headset parts. Not being internal cables IMO is a plus as they are easier to maintain and travel with. The geo is fine.
    About the big limiter is a bit smaller tire clearance than the current trends.

  2. The first gen Aspero 5 is fully integrated unless it is this particular build. The ekar builds all still have the shift cable not run through the headset. Pretty sure there just isn’t room for a third cable to be run fully internally. For what it’s worth I’ve got a first gen Aspero (non 5) and it’s great. Nothing about the bike makes it irrelevant.

  4. I have been riding Ekar for the last 5k miles and absolutely love it (other than finding parts).
