Hi everyone,

I'm need help deciding between two potential bikes to use for commuting. Option A is the Surly straggler 1 x 11 and option B is the Norco search A cues. The commute is about 10 Mi each way on the flat and mostly cycleways. I'm ultimately after something durable and reasonable efficient. Thanks in advance!

  1. Two good bikes that can both do what you want. One item on the Norco – does it have mount points for a rear rack? I’m not seeing the normal seat stay mounts, but it does have a weird bridge. For a commuter, I’d consider easy fitting of a good rear rack to be an important item. Outside of that, its a choice between steel and aluminum, and 1x v. 2x. Both more personal choices. Norco leans more to the gravel racer side, the Straggler to the commuter side. I’d go with the Straggler, but I like steel and 1x.
