it only cost £50 for the sleeper train to Scotland but the catch is this is where I’m sleeping this is the Caledonian sleeper which runs between London and Scotland and whil there are many horizontal sleeping options they’re a lot more expensive so here’s what you get when you book a seat on the carriage there’s a place to sort your luggage and bikes here’s the carriage itself is in a 21 formation and at your seat you get a charging point a table that slides out and there’s a reading like here you can also store your items up on top and there’s a little Locker for valuables too I love the there rting your seats as well perfect if you’re on your own we are moving on the seat there was little eye mask ear plugs and a menu you could order food and drink items to your seat the toilet door is opening the bathroom was a standard train L nothing fancy but did the job and I really enjoyed that it had a proper lot further down the train is the onboard dining car but with my seat ticket I’m not allowed to go there instead you hit this button above your head and someone comes to take your order back in the loop I’m going to get myself ready for bed and get myself settled in good night

  1. Years ago i was on the sleeper from fort william to london but not in the sleeper section just the seating area …as lady luck would have the heating went on the blink on the carriages..so we got upgraded to sleeping accomodation for free

  2. Sadly the old sleeper train was much better and friendlier. You could book a bunk in a shared cabin if you wanted (which made it loads cheaper for those who did want and it wasn't mandatory) and the dining car made it easier to get to know people on the journey. Nowadays, yes the train is cleaner and brighter, but most of the changes that have been made are super miserable. I'm sad that it ruined a journey that I used to love.
