I just wanted to raise awareness of my experience i had with LeCol.
I bought 2 LC__CC Pro Aqua Zero Jersey, they are long sleeve winter jerseys, 200 euros each before discount, i paid 287 in total for both so pretty high up there. I wore them both once, and washed them once, and immediately i found similar minor scuffing/fraying near the end of the sleeve and collar.
I contacted customer service to tell them about my experience. I did not ask for a refund or anything i just wanted to see where the conversation goes but i was quite bewildered by their response.
I'll show you the pictures, the damage is extremely small, but i would not expect any damage after a single use. dark jersey light jersey.
Their response:
We thank you for your order, first of all. 🙂
I've owned numerous Pro Aqua Zero jerseys in my 8+ years here with Le Col (handling customer inquiries)…… The pilling/scuffing that is present in the photos are very typical of what we see when there has been friction against the fabric.
The ends of the sleeves are typically a result of contact with gloves (or a watch?) and around the neck is sometimes a result of friction from either course neck whiskers or helmet straps. It's annoying, but it's not a fault with the fabric nor construction of the jersey.
My response:
So what you're saying is these expensive winter jerseys are not designed to be worn with gloves (clearly no one wears gloves in winter right?). Or a helmet either? i guess no one at lecol wears helmets.
i have several other jerseys from other brands and none have experienced this kind of damage.
Very disappointed if this is the expectation when worn in a normal way in a cold environment
If the sources of friction can be eliminated, it should not get any worse…..
We thank you again and apologise for the inconvenience.
Their response:
It's far from "normal"….however, anytime you have abrasive contact with technical fabrics, pilling is possible.
This is not something we see very often and this is one of more popular garments. I'm simply sharing with you my opinion regarding potential sources of abnormal friction.
Thank you
I'll let you make your own conclusions, but personally being told to not wear a jersey with gloves or a helmet seems ridiculous and completely out of touch with reality.

LeCol is one of those hyped brands. Their top line jerseys are ABSOLUTELY NOT worth the ridiculous pricing. Their sizes are odd as well.
I have “won” a voucher and bought a full top tier set of that brand for a reduced price. Immediately found quality issues. I think the socks is the only left over, I sometimes use.
Regarding their jerseys I say…Stay away.
I don’t own any LeCol, but this looks like it was damaged during the wash?
I toss my cycling stuff in multiple mesh wash bags before putting into the washer.
I had a similar experience with them. They take zero responsability, don’t try to help at all and try to blame the costumer for their shitty quality. It is the only brand I tell everyone I know NOT to buy.
