Picked this up last week. From what the previous owner had on it, it’s a 1982 TIG weld and everything except the tires and pedals appear to be original to include the Ritchey foam grips. It rides great. Paid $570 for anyone curious (the Swift bag is mine). Serial #T2C00120

Today, I hit the frame in all the holes I could find with T-9 as there does appear to be some internal rust. I’m going to get another set of the mafac 5 dot pads from Rene Herse as these are still the original pads lol. Hopefully I can get the old pads off. Any other recommendations? This bike will 100% be ridden, it isn’t just a showpiece for me. Thanks!

  1. Love that stem. I heard some people completely submerge their frame and fork in Evapo-Rust (rust converter) and then hit it with a rust inhibitor. That would require a complete disassembly. I’m guessing you can also hit it with a clear coat after that.
