Origin 8, you’ll have fun with a light bike.

It looks like it’s been stored in a garage as well

But both bikes you’ll probably swap out the tires (and tubes with the green one) and add foot retention.

So you’re gonna spend more on both regardless

I agree the origin8 looks like someone cared about it and would probably be better. I hate those cheap, super deep wheels. They’re heavy and awful.

Just make sure the one you choose fits you well, use fit calculators online if you’ve never done that before. You probably already know but fit is extremely important.

  3. Origin 8 is by far the better taken care of bike.

Depending on your market, you can find a nicer bike in the 3-500 range if you’re willing to wait.

I got my surly with omniums for less than $200. I’ve upgraded it since then but I’m still way less than what it should have cost me

  4. The origin 8 is the better bike but you’ll have to replace those tires. Seems taken care of. Would not get the tribe.

  5. I wouldn’t buy either but would probably buy the cheaper one. The “upgrades” on the first bike are a joke and there’s no way that bike is 15 pounds

  6. Don’t buy the tribe. Origin8 actually makes pretty bombproof stuff, and I bet the frame will outlive us. That said…it’s probably not 15lbs looking at those wheels. Either way it’s what I’d cop

  7. The one with Lemond parts is 100% stolen lol. Those are very nice racing parts….fork might be worth $1-200 easy

  8. Could you suggest a better option (brand/model) or what I should be looking at that makes one “better?” Ideally I’d like to stay around the same price point or a little more.
