So I decided to hit the trails at the local university with my son today. On the way home I hit a pothole that caused my rack to bounce pretty hard. When I pulled over to check on the bikes I found my top tube is cracked. After having a meltdown in the parking lot, I composed myself and drove home.
I bought the bike in February so I’m hoping Marin will warranty it and hook me up with a replacement front triangle. The bike shop opens Tuesday so we will see what they can do as far as filing a claim. Heartbroken is an understatement. I really liked the fit of this bike. 😔😢

Ooof, that sucks. I cracked the toptube after a big drop on my santa cruz nomad v6 so i feel the pain, but fortunately SC bikes has lifetime warranty
Hard lesson to learn but spending for a rack that doesn’t grip anything but the wheels is worth every penny. Plenty of deals to be had second hand too.

I don’t think warranties cover this kind of damage. They generally apply to manfmufacturing failure.
If your bike fell off rack, warranty would not cover it.

That’s not a warranty issue. They should offer you crash replacement though.
