I crashed my bike and decided to take the rear derailleur off after noticing some problems with the shifting. I see that there is no hanger? For context, I bought the bike used for a fairly low price and its been riding well after some fixes, and I'm fairly certain after a little research its a Pinarello Angliru 2004. Would anyone happen to know if aluminum bikes from this time are supposed to have RD hangers and where to find such hangers? Thanks in advance.

This bike doesn’t have a replaceable hanger, unfortunately. Your only option is to try bending it back. There is a special derailleur hanger alignment tool for this purpose, but since you are working with a 7 speed drivetrain, you can likely use an adjustable wrench and eyeball it. It will be close enough.
It looks to be made of aluminum, so be extra careful if you try bending it back. It may be weakened from the original impact and could snap off if you overshoot. Best of luck!

Looks like it’s built in ,if anything clean the threads with a taper just chase the same threads, after that bolt your new derailleur

  3. As they say, this is the hanger – just not replaceable.
But doesn’t look too bent – are you sure if your crash hit that part of your bike it’s not just the derailleur that took a hit and might be bent or damaged in some way?

Bending back with aluminum would take some care and only works for minimal corrections, but a picture from behind would clarify what’s to be done in the first place…
