I’ve been riding bikes for years but finally jumping into builds/maintenance. Anyone familiar with this 90’s commuter? Would love to learn a bit about it. Been having trouble finding this model on the web. Definitely not going to be throwing much money at it. Mostly just purchased for educational purposes and some cruising. Thanks in advance, y’all.

Flip it over and look for a serial number stamped on the underside of the bottom bracket, or nearby.
Then go here and enter that number for more info:

Looks mid 80’s too me. Does the serial number start with any of these?

Their first production frames were 1983. That 84 is the first one I’ve ever seen. You’ve got a cool bike there.
