I am looking for some ideas to stop the brake line from rubbing on my head tube. After I saw this I put some tape on the front to protect the paint but I would like to ditch the tape for a nicer looking fix.
Even on my Surly in that area, I put the nice thick transparent anti-stone film 😉

Tape, as others have suggested. IME don’t try the rubber wraps (don’t know what they’re actually called!) that are supposed to protect your frame from cable rub, they don’t stay in place. At least the ones on my gravel bike didn’t.

I’ve seen people clip multiple cable runs together for a cleaner look. Clipping to another shifter/brake cable might pull it away from the head tube enough. Experiment with tape or twist tie to find a good spot and if works then zip tie it down.

You can also use 3m clear bra for cars, or electric tape.

Either clear protection sticker on the frame or wrap the cable in the soft felt part of a Velcro strap

Embrace it. Personally I like my bikes getting a nice patina

UHMW tape along the rubbed area. Blends in with paint and no one notices.

My commuter has divots in the aluminum from a decade of cable rub.

Electrical tape is the shit

Get some mud on it, it will cover it right up.

Grab a roll of 3m clear bra tape for like $13 and slap it on. Then just wrap your whole bike, because, why not?

They sell frame sticker kits to protect from rub all around the frame. That or some 3M/racers tape.

Get some helicopter tape

Jagwire makes these little rubber pieces you can slip over. They don’t look great but work fine [https://www.jensonusa.com/jagwire-tube-tops-5g-frame-protectors-black-4-pack?loc=usa&pt_source=googleads&pt_medium=cpc&pt_campaign=&pt_keyword=&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23020030719&gclid=CjwKCAiAxc_JBhA2EiwAFVs7XCiRxK2dYRVQbLLR_rBhAY4WhohQBsnbWDq9QdW8Vw3_3YhSGa7r9BoCC5AQAvD_BwE](https://www.jensonusa.com/jagwire-tube-tops-5g-frame-protectors-black-4-pack?loc=usa&pt_source=googleads&pt_medium=cpc&pt_campaign=&pt_keyword=&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23020030719&gclid=CjwKCAiAxc_JBhA2EiwAFVs7XCiRxK2dYRVQbLLR_rBhAY4WhohQBsnbWDq9QdW8Vw3_3YhSGa7r9BoCC5AQAvD_BwE)
Helicopter tape.
Cut down a tank protector made for motorcycles.
Quit looking at it!
Remove the brake caliper and install it with a 360 degree rotation. This will add a curve to the line and keep it away from the tube.
A Dead Kennedys decal protects my head tube paint.
I bet you could cut the hose just right so it doesn’t touch.
My warbird had the same problem. I ended up using zip ties to keep the two brake cables together and off the frame.
3M transparent protective tape. I put it on all my bikes headtubes now.
Start obsessing over the burrs on the Salsa logo and next thing you know you won’t notice the paint erosion anymore.
It do be like that
My salsa does the same thing in the same spot
