I'm getting into cycling and am on an ancient 56cm loaner Giant Defy for now. It's too small and after about 1000 miles I need to change. Looking to get an endurance bike.
I'm on a very limited budget, but want to get something decent with my $$$.
Is this a good deal? Thanks.

I usually size 58 or larger. A 56 Roubaix was perfect for me. They usually run a little big. Test it out first.
First of all – used carbon frame. Could be compromised and you won’t notice. Just something to keep in mind.
If you can – take it to a bike shop and ask them to do an assessment. They will tell you right away if there are any parts that you’d have to replace right away.
Also take a test ride – look out for any weird creaking noises.
I work in a bike shop and I’ve seen a lot of cases where people bought a used bike that turned out to be somehow compromised (carbon especially), or they had to spend a lot of money replacing the worn out parts to make the bike rideable.
Yeah the roubaix is a good bike, wouldn’t surprise me if after riding the defy it feels a little bit flimsy.
