Hi everyone recently recovering from a break from cycling for a year, and want to get back into it or use ride fixed but I got tired of it cause I couldn’t find a frame my right size.(can’t even fully fit a 49cm btw) and deciding between these two bikes, I’m probably just gonna use it for commuting, but also like to shred around town.also I live in California so there aren’t many hills to climb. Probably also gonna get some rack attachments probably good for it as well. I’m just having trouble deciding between them. On one hand, I really enjoy the simplicity of a single speed with road drop bars. But I also and try out gears for the first time on the surly any other recommendations? Has anyone had any experience with surly bikes before?. also I like the fact they come in smaller sizes,but the big difference here is the price points.has anybody had an experience of surly bikes or state bicycle? and help is appreciated Thank you!

I’d go surly. I have both brands and the surly is better made.
