Hi all!
Currently in the process of building up my first bike. My plan was to use an AliExpress integrated cockpit (Lexon Vero) on the Standert Pfadfinder frame. However, I encountered the issue that the top cap (that was delivered with the cockpit) does not properly fit the external bearing cups (1-2mm difference, see picture 1).
The alternative would be to use the Standert top cap, but I’m not a huge fan of the looks (picture 2).

Do you have any other ideas on how I could make that compatible? Otherwise, I think I need to return the cockpit and go for a Deda solution instead.

Many thanks for any advice!

  1. I would get a different headset maybe. Measure the diameter of the cap you want to use, and see if someone makes a headset with the same diameter cup. Doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll work without a little creativity, but I think it’s possible. Wolftooth and Cane Creek make pretty large diameter headsets in my opinion. Also, the headset that comes with that frame seems to have a massive stack height. A different headset may work better

That looks similar enough to the Deda Alanera that you could try using that top cap.
