I live in the middle of Sweden and it's often around -5 to +10 deg C here. So the gravel is wet and sometimes icy. Me and my cycling friends often have long discussion in our chat before each ride: studded tires and/or mudguards? If one rider come without studded tires the pace is much higher for that cyclist so it's best if we are aligned on this… I am a developer, so I built a small site to try to help us with these decisions. Not quite sure if it's helpful or useful… Anyone here want to try it out and say what you think? It's free and no login required at the moment. (Some cost is involved from my part, but just want to see if it's something I should spent more time on developing…)

I know this is borderline on the rules here, but I am not asking for you money, personal information or anything like that, just your opinion. Not linking to it but link to the site is in the screenshot.

I don’t know about studded tires, but I don’t see reason for not having mudguards. That’s like the bare minimum for taking care of your bike and yourself.

  2. Fellow stockholmer here! I would like to try it! Often a doubt that I have before heading out to the local trails!
