Hi, this is Josh from Beach CLA and we are at Bespoke 2025 in Dresden, Germany to bring you this Maruya Cycles Takiru Z. Maruya Cycles out of Japan has been a mainstay here at Bespoke. Now, in their previous years, they’ve come with two track bikes. Gecko last year and the year before that, the Daikoku. Now, these have won prizes here at Bespoke. This year, for the first time, Maruya Cycles is bringing a road bike. That’s right. Beautiful all steel road bike from Maruya Cycles, handmade in Japan. Now, this is a completely lugless frame. You’ll notice there is just a hint of a seat post collar at the top. I mean, you can tell the excellent craftsmanship that comes out of Maruya Cycles. Look at these beautiful dropouts. Look at the gorgeous filing work. So smooth coming into the dropouts and getting nice and flat into this beautiful bottom bracket. Since this is a road bike, you can see that the cables are going into the down tube. traditional eyelet for the entrance of the tube going into the down tube coming out the rear chain stay on the non-drive side into this disc brake. I love this gorgeous little brake bridge flat with the Maruya circles logo in the middle. Just unassuming, very, very wellmade. Now, while this is all steel construction, you do have a carbon fiber fork. You’ve got the hole on the side for the front disc brake. But I want to draw your attention to the paint job. That’s right. Japanese flag, red circle in the middle, white on the outside. Somewhat similar to the style of the Gecko track bike, which was capturing the moon in the
