Beautiful, warm ride today. I usually ride with 38s, but put on Continental Terra Speed 45s and it felt great on rougher parts of the trail & single track. I’m surprised at the difference it made, I also was riding 10psi less pressure.

Yeah, I wouldn’t want to ride a lot of the terrain in that area with less than MTB tires. You get beat up on anything less. Also, I feel like I’m faster on my full suspension XC bike anyway.
It looks like those are Terra Trail 45’s tho? I plan to get some Terra Speeds 45s for some of the mountain dirt roads, but the Terra Speeds 40’s have been pretty perfect for my every day riding.

How’s your clearance on the GR300? I’m contemplating going to 700×45 on my GR when my 40s wear out but I’m mildly concerned about mud clearance.
