Just wanted to share a warning for anyone looking at the Santafixie Raval. I bought one as my first fixed gear expecting entry-level quality, but what I got was dangerous.
For £600, here is the timeline of failures:
• 45 Days In: Rear hub threads stripped completely. Couldn't hold a lockring.
• The Tires/Paint: Stock tires punctured constantly and the paint chips if you just look at it wrong.
• 1.5 Years In: The crank arm stripped and failed while riding in London traffic.
I emailed Santafixie support about the hub and again about the dangerous crank failure. Zero response both times.
I knew the parts would be cheap, but these are unsafe. Save your money and buy something else.

putting money in marketing, not steel? idunno 🙂 – this is a stock photo btw – i’m happy with their pedals, but they’re shimano’s actually so eyooo who knew. Personally i always swap out wheels and crankset as soon as i get a stock bike.
