  1. I have xero alpines for freezing weather and wildlings high tip winter boots for above freezing. Covers generally are open at the bottom so you’ll want a thicc insole. I find xl covers work but it’s tight and not very effective to be honest.

  2. I’ve been doing a bit of research this morning for different options, I want something that’s going to actually keep the water out and be durable, not fall apart after a month or two, or get a rip in the top because I had to adjust my pedal after stopping.

    I have NOT used these, or even ordered them yet, but they seem to have pretty good reviews. The company has insulated and non-insulated options. I assume by thermal you want some insulation, which might be a little pricier than you want. Maybe a pair of merino wool socks would add enough warmth for you with a non-insulated pair?
