Hello everyone. I am an intermediate, riding mostly red and black trails, and I am looking for my first full-suspension. Right now, the two bikes that seem to suit me the most are the Merida One Sixty 500 2025 and the Merida One Sixty FR 400 2025.
The One sixty FR 400 has the following specs: 180mm Sr Suntour Durolux fork, 170mm Dvo Jade x coil shock, Tektro Gemini brakes, Shimano Cues drivetrain, and Continental Kriportal tires, while the One Sixty 500 features a 170mm Rockshox Domain at the front, A Deluxe Select+ at the rear, Maxxis tires and Shimano Deore drivetrain and brakes.
Which one would you recommend? Would the One Sixty FR400 be a better choice, given the facts that it is a bit more aggressive, and at my local bike shop it is about 20% cheaper than the One Sixty 500? Does anyone own one of these bikes and is willing to share his experience?
Thank you for the advice!

omg those maxxis tires on the one sixty 500 are so worth it. i switched to them last year and they grip wayyy better on our local black trails when it gets muddy.
I’d go the 500, seems to have better components. I would personally much rather Rockshox and Shimano parts over Sr Suntour and Tektro.
